Nicole Albertson

Registered Acupuncturist

Nicole was intrigued by healing modalities from the age of 12 years old when she witnessed her father suffering from Ulcerative Colitis. After being told his only option was to remove his colon, he reached out to alternative therapies and natural medicine. With strict compliance to his treatment plan, he had a complete turn around with his health in just one year (and hasn’t suffered since!). Having observed first-hand the dramatic changes and increase to his quality of life, Nicole knew early on she would follow the path of natural healing as a career.

With a clear understanding of how important diet is to our health and well-being, Nicole began her journey by obtaining a degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta. She was then accepted into the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. After completing her first year of studies, she found herself drawn to Eastern Medicine. This led her to pursue her current path: today, Nicole is a Registered Acupuncturist (having graduated from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine, followed by an internship at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine).

Nicole continues to her passion for learning by attending seminars and training workshops to advance her skills and knowledge. She has a special interest in sports acupuncture, treating acute and chronic pain. She is trained in the Extore assessment and treatment system, as well as other sports acupuncture motor point techniques.

Much like the rest of our team, Nicole believes the world is a better place when more people are enjoying life to the fullest.  Whether training for a race, hiking mountains, playing competitive sports or wanting to play with your kids pain-free, her goal with treatments is to get you back doing the things you love as quickly as possible.

Outside of the clinic you can find Nicole living her best life: exploring new places, trying fresh recipes, wine tasting, enjoying views from the peaks of mountain tops with her beautiful pup Zoe, training for her next Crossfit competition, trail running, restoring her body and mind on the mat… or simply enjoying the sunshine.
