Dr. Jamie Gallo

Chiropractor

Growing up in West Kelowna, Jamie participated in several different athletic sports and activities, but ultimately his true passion landed on ice hockey. He spent 4 years playing Junior hockey throughout British Columbia and then at the semiprofessional level in Szekesfehérvar, Hungary.

Following his playing career, Jamie attended the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus, graduating with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a Minor in Psychology. He then earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus in sunny San Jose, California. During his time at Palmer’s outpatient clinic, he was recognized with the Clinical Excellence Award for his exceptional detail to patient care and professionalism.

Jamie has built valuable experience over the last 15 years working with a wide range of individuals from coaching power skating and skills development in ice hockey, to volunteering with the elderly population assisting with fall prevention, memory retention, and fine motor control. In addition to his education and experience, Jamie has certifications in Functional Range Conditioning and Functional Range Release. This allows him to fully evaluate your joint mobility step by step, assess the root cause of your pain, and re-train your joints to move efficiently and freely.

Jamie is currently serving as the Head Chiropractor at the RINK Hockey Academy based in Kelowna. With a dedicated focus on the development of young hockey players, the RINK Hockey program caters to both female and male athletes with the CSSHL. Having been a pillar in the community for several years, the RINK has played a pivotal role in guiding aspiring athletes towards achieving their hockey goals, ranging from college to the professional levels.

He practices diversified adjustment techniques and uses additional treatment methods to cater treatment to your specific needs, goals and into a pain-free state.

Techniques such as:

·      Myofascial Decompression

·      Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique
